In goalunited, watching videos gives you several benefits in various areas of the game. However, sometimes video ads may get stuck, fail to start, display a black screen, or repeatedly restart without completing.
These issues can have different causes, including browser settings, extensions, device-related problems, or the video advertising provider.
If you encounter problems with video ads, please try the following troubleshooting steps.
Some browser extensions can interfere with the video advertising system and prevent videos from working correctly.
In particular, we have identified that the Super Video Controller extension can interfere with video ads in goalunited, causing them to behave unexpectedly or repeatedly restart.
Please try the following:
Temporarily disable the Super Video Controller extension, if installed.
Disable any ad blockers or other extensions that might interfere with video playback.
Reload goalunited and try watching the video again.
If the videos work correctly after disabling an extension, it is likely that the extension was causing the issue.
Trying to speed up a video using the playback speed controls in the video player may also interfere with video playback and cause the video to restart or play in a loop.
To avoid this, please make sure to:
Leave the video playback speed at its default setting (normal speed).
Avoid using any controls or browser extensions that attempt to speed up or otherwise modify video playback.
If you have changed the playback speed, restart the video and try watching it again at normal speed.
Open goalunited in an Incognito (Chrome) or Private browsing window and try playing the video again.
Make sure that browser extensions are disabled in this window as well, as some extensions can also be enabled in Incognito mode.
This can help determine whether the issue is related to your browser extensions, cookies, or stored browsing data.
Outdated or corrupted browser data can sometimes interfere with video playback.
Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, restarting your browser, and then logging in to goalunited again.
How to clear your browser's cache and cookies
If the issue persists, please try watching the videos using:
A different browser on your current device.
A different device, if available (for example, another PC, laptop, or mobile device).
This will help determine whether the problem is specific to your current browser or device.
Please note: goalunited may not be fully optimized for all mobile browsers. As a result, video ads may occasionally display a black screen, become unresponsive, or fail to play correctly on certain mobile devices.
If you experience problems on a mobile device, please try the following:
Clear your mobile browser's cache and cookies.
Try using a different mobile browser.
If you use Chrome on iOS, you can follow Google's instructions for clearing browsing data.
The availability and delivery of video advertisements can vary depending on your location.
If you have already tried the previous steps without success, you can also try using a VPN to test whether the issue persists when connecting through a different location.
This is an optional diagnostic step and is not guaranteed to resolve the problem.
If none of the above steps helps, please create a support ticket and provide us with the following information:
Your browser and version: For example, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
Your operating system: For example, Windows 11, macOS, Android, or iOS.
Browser extensions: Let us know whether you are using any extensions, particularly ad blockers or video-related extensions.
Where the issue occurs: For example, in the Training Plan, Collect Challenge, or another area of the game.
Video ID: If possible, please provide the ID of the video that is not working correctly or keeps playing in a loop.
Troubleshooting steps: Let us know which of the suggestions above you have already tried and whether anything made a difference.
If the issue continues, we may also ask you to provide a browser console report. This can help us investigate the problem further and share relevant technical information with our third-party video advertising provider.
To collect console logs in Google Chrome, please follow these instructions:
How to collect console logs in Chrome
If you are experiencing a video loop, ideally, please reproduce the issue and let the video play in a loop 2–3 times before collecting the console report.
Please attach the report to your support ticket so we can forward the relevant information for further investigation.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
We understand how frustrating it can be when video ads do not work as expected. Your reports help us investigate potential issues and work with our advertising provider to improve the experience.
