Your first match

Your first match

After you have completed the tutorial the next big event you are looking forward to is most likely your first official match. Many managers wonder how they can start a match right now. But as you play in a real league system against other real managers, the matches are not instant, but always at set times.

But don't worry, you won't have to wait long. Regular league matches take place every Wednesday and Saturday. If you signed up right between seasons you might not have a match scheduled, but don't worry, there are only a few days time between seasons, so the first match should show up in a day or two at the latest.

Take a look at the very top of your screen, you will always see your next match right there. You can click both logos to get to the team's contact pages, and by clicking on the match information you get straight to the formation page.

There is so much to do in goalunited, that it is almost easy to forget, that in the end, it is all about the matches. So you should try your best in every match. Of course, doing your best does not always mean trying to win the match, sometimes it might mean taking it slow in a match against a very strong opponent, to keep your strength for the next match.

It is best to weigh all your options before each match. Take a very close look at the other team, at his players, and at his last matches. (You can find all this by looking at the team's contact page.) This will show you if he always uses the same formation, or changes it up, and the same for his tactic. Use all the information you can gather to decide on your formation, effort and tactics. Analysing your opponent can be the deciding factor in your matches, and in the end for the championship or the results in the cup.

Good luck!
