In your formation, you have to select your players for the special jobs.
This means you have to designate a captain, one player to kick your free kicks, penalties and corner kicks.
One player can be appointed for one or more special jobs.
Free kicks
There will most likely be a number of free kicks in just about any match you play. Free kicks are best kicked by a person with a high offensive skill.
The Free Kick talent also gives a good chance of a goal when it triggers, so a player with a slightly lower skill and a free kick talent is usually the better choice.
Penalties
Here you set the player that will kick the penalty kicks after a foul in the match. Even though this does not happen as often as a free kick, the chance of success is much higher, so the selection should be done with thought. A player with a high offensive skill is a good penalty kicker.
The penalty kicker talent increases the chance of a goal even more when it triggers, so a player with a slightly lower skill and a free kick talent is usually the better choice.
Corner kicks
There will most likely also be quite a few corner kicks in your match. Corner kicks are best kicked by a person with a high passing skill.
The corner kick talent also gives a good chance of a goal when it triggers, so a player with a slightly lower skill and a free kick talent is usually the better choice.
The team captain
The team captain plays a big role in any match. The captain gives a bonus for all quadrants, so the selection is very important. Charismatic players are by far best suited for this, and the more experience a player has, the better. Introverted players are not suited for the captain role.
Example:
A charismatic captain with XP 100 is 35% better than a captain with a different personality (except for introverted player) and the same XP value.
Good to know!
In case a player who has a special job is substituted due to an injury, the special job will be assigned randomly to another player.
