GU Football Association Clash competitions
GUFA organizes regularly the GUFA Clash competitions where managers can join and compete against other managers worldwide.
How does the event work?
All managers in goalunited who choose to join the event will be assigned randomly to one of the available groups. Each club will compete and contribute to the ranking position of the group.
After joining, managers can play 15 free matches per day without Handicap (more is possible for STARS or 1on1 coupons).
Those matches are the ones that count towards the group ranking and the club ranking.
Matchmaking
When starting a 1on1 match within the GUFA Clash competition, your club will be paired with a club of similar best 11 strength. In case no opponent is found, a bot of similar strength will be paired with your club.
Important!
The Handicap mode is not active in the GUFA Clash competitions!
Your best 11 needs to have a strength of at least 20 to be able to join the competition!
Rewards
There are two types of rewards, which each manager can win:
- Group reward
- Club ranking reward
The reward from the group is paid in GU STARS only if your selected group ends in one of the top positions at the end of the ranking, besides this reward, if you were playing for the champion group, you will also receive an upgradable trophy.
Your reward depends on the level of your activity.
Careful!
Joining a group but not playing any or enough matches will result in a 0% contribution rate and therefore you will not receive the reward earned by your group.
Trophy and Medals rewards
Rank 1 in the Group ranking will get an upgradable trophy, while ranks 2 and 3 will get a medal.
With an upgradable trophy, the number showing on the Trophy/Medal will increase with each win of this type of competition,
Group ranking
In the group ranking, you can see the logo and the name of each group, the current position, the reward, the GRP (point calculation), member count, and also the group leader of each group.
When there is a group bonus day for one or more groups, this will be highlighted in the ranking and you will also see the Points calculation for it.
The group leader is the club that is best performing in each group (one will be shown for each group)
The group with the highest amount of points at the end of the competition will win.
Club ranking
Individual club ranking reward depends only on your own club ranking. Your club ranking is decided based on your own results in the 1on1 matches played within the GUFA Clash competition.
The number of victories decides the better placement in the Club ranking, and in case of a same number of victories, the number of scored goals decides the better placement in the ranking.
Ranking calculation
In the ranking calculation, many clubs end up with the same number of victories and scored goals, therefore, they share the same rank with other clubs. Thus, it's basically the number of ranks at the end of the competition that is taken into account.
Example:
35625 Clubs in total participate in a Clash competition
- 27349 Clubs having equal wins and scored goals (and so will have the same rank)
- 35625 - 27349 = 8276 Number of ranks (club(s) with lowest points have this rank)
- 8276 - 3 (top3) = 8273 Ranks are considered for the reward regions
Calculating the max rank for each region:
- Top 1 - will have rank 1
- Top 2 - will have rank 2
- Top 3 - will have rank 3
- Top 5%
- 8273 * 0.05 = 413,65 -> round-up -> 414
- so this region goes from rank 4 to rank 414
- Top 15%
- 8273 * 0.15 + 414 = 1.654,95 -> round-up -> 1.655
- this region goes from 415 to 1.655
- Top 50%
- 8273 * 0.50 + 1655 = 5.791,5 -> round-up -> 5.792
- this region goes from 1.656 to 5.792
Good to know!
- Please note that there is a specific requirement for a club to enter the ranking in the Clash competition. For example, in the event below, at the moment the screenshot was taken, the requirement was at least 2 victories to enter Top 50%. The clubs with less than 2 victories were not getting any reward.
- The same calculation applies to the Collect Challenge ranking.
